Boris Pasternak was a Russian poet, his works included some of the most influential collections ever published in the Russian language. He has said many inspirational things; including this.
In my opinion this quote has a very simple– and powerful — message: Live in the moment. Don’t spend your whole life preparing yourself for what’s next, and instead just live. When the next thing comes then you can think about that. It’s a message you hear a lot but I like the way Pasternak puts it. Instead of just saying live in the moment he tells you not to worry about the future.
